I spent a number of years working above this concrete monster and have mixed feelings about it...partly in awe of the efficiency of the machine delivering people to their destinations...but it is very grey.

I decided to produce two versions, an efficient black and an optimistic green.

I am collecting rivers, drawings, photographs, memories. Rivers remind me to go with the flow. When I let go there is magic with what can occur.

This print was made in that spirit using soft ground and sugarlift with stopout I felt like I was drawing in the dark.

Beverley Brook is a river in South West London. I aimed to capture an essnce of the place. The dappled light the wind in the trees and the glistening reflections in the water.

Inspired by a walk in the Quantock woods in Somerset and ancient Chinese scrolls in the British Museum.

The walk was like a film set. Mist had come down and you couldn't see very far ahead. It was a mixture of a blur, super sharp shapes and patterns and an array of marks and delictate lines. I had also been visiting the British Museum and was blown away of an animation of an ancient Chinese scroll.

This work is the culmination of several years of walking, looking and making images and notes in my local park Tooting Common.

I had brought the circular plates for another project and yet felt drawn to use them with my park collection. One day whilst walking I heard the song Time Passages and I realised this work is about the layering of cycles and seasons.

I did a series of work in Kew Gardens. I loved being immersed in the Palm Houses. I felt like I had travelld the world when I was there. There is something about being inside these structures and looking through geometric shapes contrasted with the organic forms.
