Kyoto Lantern

Limited edition of 15. Multi-block print on Japanese Washi (4 colours)

Kyoto is considered the cultural capital of Japan, it is home to numerous Buddhist temples, Shinto shrines, palaces and gardens, some of which are listed collectively by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.

I saw this lantern whilst visiting Kyoto in 2008, it hangs at the entrance to one of the many temples we went to.
